The Elderly

In general, the population that Little Brothers' serves, 82% are women, 71% are African-American, 27% are Caucasian and 2% are Hispanic; 76% live in north central, west, south and lower northeast Philadelphia; 87% live at or below poverty level, 100% are at 150% of poverty or below; 70% are over 80; nearly 20% are over 90; all live alone with the exception of a very few who live with a close family member (spouse, sibling) who is also 60 or over.
