Visiting/Friendship

Help our old friends be less isolated all year-round by becoming a visitor. Share stories and experiences and see if a friendship doesn’t develop.

Telephone Visitation

Visit weekly with an old friend via the telephone. Great at-home volunteer opportunity!

Birthdays

Celebrate an old friend’s birthday! Make visits or telephone calls; what you do will make their day SPECIAL! Some can even be done from your home!

Office Support

Lend a helping hand to our office. We need people to do data entry, filing, letter writing, mailings, gift wrapping, and much more!

Social Events

Let’s have a party! Be a part of our parties and celebrations for our old friends. Help get isolated elderly out of their homes and have fun!

Merchant Solicitation

Solicit gifts, flowers, food – all that’s needed for our parties, fund-raisers and programs. Make contacts, coordinate and cultivate donors. Good at-home opportunity!

Holidays

Celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and/or Easter with an old friend. Make a visit on the holiday or help at a party by hosting or providing transportation.

“On-call” Services

Can’t commit to weekly or monthly volunteering? Be an on-call volunteer and only volunteer on an “as needed” basis. Escort our old friends to parties, the grocery store, or the doctor’s office; help around the house or run errands. Coordinate your schedule with an old friend’s needs.
